Llama spam and begging for points
Effectvive immediately, if you ask for a llama or beg for points you will be kicked and or banned from the dAmnU chat. The donation game in dAmnU is a way to earn points for yourself, type donate ? in channel to find out how to play. So finally, do not join and beg for points or llama badges.
Advertising of Groups, Chats or Userpages / Artwork
While we are fairly relaxed about these issues and we also regularly help promote other groups, competitions you are not permitted to do this without permission from Pickley. Therefore, please do NOT promote your userpage, galleries, groups, or external websites in this chat. Check out Rule #4 for more information.
You are allowed to share your artwork and the art of others if you are a member and regular user of the chatroom. Guests that join are not permitted to do this. Please keep it to a maximum of three (3) thumbs + your avatar / icon per line, and you may only re-post once it is off the screen or every 5 - 10 mins. If a moderator or founder asks you to stop posting so frequently, please do so.
The following are the rules for the dAmnU chatroom. Please adhere to them while in the channel. The operations team reserves the right to kick, mute, or ban users at any time for violating these policies, with or without advanced warning
1. First and Foremost
Adhere to deviantART policy. Especially that listed in FAQ #287: What rules apply to the Chat Network? when using the chat. As well as all other policies listed in the Terms of Service, Etiquette Policy.
2. Language Restrictions
This is an English-only chat. As most of the deviants in the chat speak English, we have elected to remain English-only. There are several non-English chats that you may join, just search the chat page. In addition, please refrain from using excessive textspeak to the point where your messages are illegible to the average user. This includes zalgo text and variations of ASCII, ANSII and similar text.
3. Spamming, stretching and brackets
Spamming is not allowed. This includes repetitive spamming of the same or very similar content, as well as excessive use of mass capitalisation or stretching of words or punctuation. Note the term "Excessive", using mass capitalisation or stretching occasionally is acceptable. #dAmnU is not an RP room, use of brackets will not be tolerated and will be considered spamming.
The excessive use of special unicode characters, particularly ASCII and ANSII characters (including zalgo), is also prohibited and considered spam - any user in violation of this specific rule will be subject to permanent banning.
4. Advertising
Please do not advertise your own userpage, galleries, groups, or external websites in this chat. The use of :icon: for purposes other than emoticons is forbidden in this channel. There is a certain amount of leeway when engaged in a conversation with a specific user, but please no mass-advertising to everyone in the chat. You will be warned, and face a kick or ban if you continue.
5./everyone and Tab-Spamming
The use of the dAmn Goodies
/everyone is strictly prohibited. As is manually mass-tabbing people in the chat. If you use this and you get caught, you will be banned - this includes Mods, Ops and Founders. There is no need for this command to be used and until we can get it excluded like in #devart this rule will be enforced.6. Bot Policy
You are not permitted to abuse any of the official bots in the channel, i.e KidneyBot. This includes but is not limited to, using the bot to spam the channel or take up space, purposely using "bad words" to kick yourself, or otherwise abusing the privileges that you have when using the bot. If you wish to receive a list of more than the top 10 users in the Kidney Game, please request permission from a chat operator. Unofficial bots are not permitted in #dAmnU. 7. Mature Content Notice
This room is suitable for mature users only. Many themes in the room run above the standard "PG-13" line of channels. Often times content can be close to "R" rated while still not violating deviantART policy. While we will not ban users under the age of 18 from joining the channel we recommend that they, as always, make their parents aware of their internet activities. In addition we request that if you are, or may be offended, by the content in the room that you not join, or cease joining the channel if the content regularly offends you.
8. Promotions and Demotions
Promotions and demotions in the channel are based on level of activity in the room, and the whim of the operational users. Please do not request to be promoted, as it will happen in time. Promotions and demotions in the room do not transfer to the group, they are two separate classes. Note that demotions due to punishment may not fit the same guidelines as this rule. 9. dArama
dArama is not permitted in #dAmnU. Attempts to generate dArama, participate in dArama, or otherwise acknowledge dArama's existence will be dealt with accordingly. Devious fun and fake dArama, obviously, are exempt from this rule.
10. Your Safety
We here at dAmnU care about your safety. Therefore we ask you to oblige by devSAFE while in this channel. Please do not share your full name, address, age, or contact information in this channel. If a user requests this information, do not respond. Contact one of the Operators immediately for assistance. If this information is available publicly on a deviant's userpage - that is fine, however do not mention it in the channel.
11. Points Donation Game
The Game exists again, simply type donate to donate a point! The winner may get points given to them as a prize depending on donations (Can be sent to Pickley).
12. Offensive Content
You are required to follow the deviantART Etiquette Policy while in this chat. This means that you may not post content which is deemed offensive to the majority of individuals. We try to minimally invade on your free speech, therefore you are permitted to post some objectionable content, but please try to refrain if individuals in the chat are offended by it.
13. The Use of the /ignore command
General users are permitted to use this command on other gerneral users provided they adhere to the other rules. Nobody is allowed to /ignore a user in the ChatOps class and above. Violation of this rule will result in warning kick. If you do not /unignore the Op/Exec, you will be banned for a minimum of 12hrs. If you still do not /unignore, you will be permantly banned from the channel. This ban will not be overturned.
#dAmnU founders and operators reserve the right to terminate access to this channel at any time for any reason they see fit, or to change your class or to demote you or limit your permissions in the channel. The above list is not a exhaustive list of what is and is not acceptable in the channel, and thus #dAmnU founders and operators also reserve the right to adapt the above rules as they see fit, or introduce new rules if need be.
